Interview Bowling!

When reading the example of our third essay of our ethnography project I had many observations. The first part stuck out to me the most, I found it to be interesting because it grabbed my attention. I enjoyed that factual background information that was given about bowling, and found it very interesting because it was something I did not know. This made me curious, is that part of our assignment, or was that something that is optional in our next essay? Another thing that stood out to me was how the essay abruptly ended. It did not seem like the end of the essay, I felt as though a there should have been some small paragraph to conclude the paper. I was surprised to see how easily the essay flowed together because that was something I had trouble with in my last essay, so it stuck out to me. This gave me an idea on how to write allowing my ideas to easily flow to the next. The example essay did this by backing out of the specific detail of an interview or observation, then she describes herself and her surroundings. I honestly found this to be helpful and will most likely use this technique in my next essay. When I first stopped and though about how I am going to interview people for my essay I was nervous and thought that writing the essay will be challenging. But after reading the example essay I feel better about interviewing and writing this essay.

After reading this example essay on bowling and learning that bowling was invented in the 1400, I went on the internet to learn more. I found the link below to be a good website for learning about the history of bowling.
